ohhappymiracle asked: Hey Carly! I meant to follow you a while ago, but it just slipped my mind. Tumblr isn't as message/email friendly as I wish it was. When you log into tumblr and you can see the posts that people have put up you should see a "reply" button at the top right of each post. Or a heart symbol (that's to say that you like the post but don't necessarily want to say anything). Is that what you're referring to? Otherwise, you just have to fill out the "ask" section on someone's page, like I'm doing now. Does that help? If not, let me know and I'll try to figure it out. Hope you're well and welcome to tumblr my neighbor friend :)

Sorry this took so long to reply… I’ve been “tumbling” from my phone and I can’t answer from there.

Yes this should help! Thanks so much!

So today I am in New Orleans. I came with a few people from my Temple. We are here for four days to repair the damage from hurricane Katrina. So far we have served at a soup kitchen and taken a bus tour of the city. The soup kitchen was sad… This girl needed to buy a new card for to be able to get food because she lost her card. The cost was $1 and she wasn’t able to pay. Somehow she got through and was able to get her food but it was so upsetting. We forget how fortunate we really are. I go to the $1 section in Target and buy things just because they are funny or will entertain me for 5 minutes. And this lady couldn’t afford a $1 purchase for something that is obviously so important.

Sad but true. This happens everywhere everyday and we can’t help but be oblivious to it. I am really going to try to make a change in my life when it comes to this.

More posts to come :)

Yummy. I made dinner for like the first time ever haha. I mean I’ve made mac n cheese before and pasta and helped my mom cook but I made a legit dinner for myself tonight.
Steamed broccoli w/ parmesaun cheese
Mac n cheese
Grilled chicken marinated with teriyaki sauce, lemon juice, garlic sprinkle (?) And salt.
Pretty good fun the chicken was weird. Like the actual chicken. I bought organic free range but it was funky for some reason.
Oh well. That’s all.
Proud of me! Lol
